Intent of the process

A pool of partially assessed and fully assessed candidates will be established to staff AS-04 positions within the Information Management Services Branch with various linguistic profiles and tenures (permanent and temporary) that report to the National Capital Region. Based on operational needs, certain positions may be done virtually from one of the CSC Regional Administration offices across Canada. This process may also used to staff similar positions.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Recent and Significant experience in preparing and summarizing reports to provide recommendations to management;

Recent and Significant experience researching, compiling, and analyzing data or/information from a variety of sources;

Recent and Significant experience in preparing correspondence and presentations for senior management;

Recent and Significant experience in coordinating projects or initiatives;

Recent and Significant experience in monitoring and implementing policies or procedures.

*Recent is defined as experience acquired within the last three (3) years and significant is
defined as twelve (12) consecutive months.

EDUCATION:

Post-Secondary (University or College) diploma in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in working in a project environment;

Experience in conducting quality control activities;

Experience in financial monitoring, forecasting, budget tracking;

Experience managing or Supervising a team;

Experience working in an Information management/Technology environment;

Experience in corporate or operational planning;

Experience chairing meetings;

Extensive** experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

**Extensive is defined as having advanced usage with merging, tracking, formatting text and numbers in spreadsheets, and creating interactive reports with PivotTables.
