The incumbent will be responsible for providing a full range of administrative support services to management. Here are some examples:
• Work with a minimum of supervision;
• Make travel arrangements and process expense claims for the entire team;
• Plan meetings and organize the director's agenda;
• Take care of the logistics of meetings, conferences, workshops and other important events;
• Monitor and control the flow of information through the executive's office, including telephone calls, e-mails and other inquiries;
• Establish priorities and tasks to be completed and ensure that the documents to be sent are completed in accordance with departmental guidelines.

The pool of qualified candidates could be used to fill identical or similar indeterminate or term positions with various language profiles and security requirements within the Department of Employment and Social Development Canada in the National Capital Region.

Education:
A high school diploma or employer-approved alternatives*

*The employer-approved equivalencies to a high school diploma are as follows:

a) A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission examination approved as equivalent to a secondary school diploma; or
b) An acceptable combination of education, training or experience.

Degree equivalency
