Library and Archives Canada offers a number of advantages:
1) We have our own compensation service and compensation advisors. LAC is not serviced by the Pay Centre.
2) We offer onsite language training available to all employees.
3) Our offices are located at 550 de la Cité Boulevard in Gatineau (Gatineau sector) near the Rapibus, the Maison de la Culture, the Gatineau Sports Center and bike paths.
The intent of this process is to staff this position on a temporary basis (12 months with possibility of extension). A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established and could be use to staff the Occupational Health and Safety Advisor position at Library and Archives Canada.

EDUCATION :
Secondary school diploma
EXPERIENCE :
- Experience in analyzing, providing advice and making recommendations to management and clients on a range of Occupational Health and Safety issues.
- Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation and policy instruments related to Occupational Health and Safety.
* NOTE: Experience gained solely as a member of an Occupational Health and Safety committee is not sufficient.

- Experience in developing and delivering presentations or training related to Occupational Health and Safety.
