The Department of National Defence (DND) is one of the largest federal government employers. DND's role is to provide services and support to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in their operations and missions at home and abroad. Experience:
• Experience in training and monitoring apprentices.
• Experience conducting preventative maintenance inspections.
• Experience in compliance with building codes, regulations, and acts applicable to construction.
• Experience with fire alarm systems.
• Experience with security/intrusion alarm systems.
• Experience with electrical generators.
• Experience with high voltage equipment.
• Experience in safe work practices and procedures to ensure compliance with Canada Labour Code Part ll and Work safe.

Reliability Status security clearance
• Must possess and maintain a valid, non-graduated, and unrestricted provincial or territorial Class 5 driver's license and acceptable driver’s abstract.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a Departmental driver’s license (DND 404).
• Willing and able to travel.
• Willing and able to climb ladders and work off elevated structures and platforms.
• Willing and able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
• Willing and to work in confined spaces and in inclement weather.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as safely lifting and handling of up to 23kg loads.
