This process will only be used to staff positions in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Successful completion of a post-secondary educational program OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience defined as a secondary school diploma combined with a minimum of three years of experience directly related to the delivery or administration of public-directed programs or services.
Experience in providing advice and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
Experience in researching and analyzing information and developing options.
Experience in participating in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Experience in developing briefing and reporting material in support of policies or programs.
Successful completion of a post-secondary educational program in one or more of the following fields: bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, asset management, civil engineering technology or earth sciences.
Experience in developing land use plans.
Experience in capital asset management.
Experience in working in a briefing unit or in researching and preparing documents and reports for senior management.
Recent* experience in processing or preparing ministerial or executive briefings or correspondence.
Experience in using Web-cims in a government setting.
* Recent is defined as within the last three (3) years or more.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willing and able to work overtime as required.
Reliability Status security clearance
Valid "Class 5 Stage F" Manitoba Driver's license or personal mobility to the degree associated with such a driver's license.
Willing and able to travel to remote locations within and outside of Manitoba via small aircraft, vehicle or boat, travelling in some adverse road and weather conditions.

A variety of assessment tools may be used in the assessment of candidates, such as: * written test, practical test, situational exercise, * oral interview, simulation, presentation, role-play, work samples, performance appraisals and/or * reference checks. Some assessment tools may be administered electronically, others, in-person. (* Indicates those tools that will most likely be used in this process.)

Depending on the number of applicants, ISC needs and HR plans, volume management strategies such as random selection, application of one (1) or more assets, top-down approach, and/or cut-off scores MAY be used for the purpose of managing applications/candidates.
Assets may be applied at any stage in this selection process (i.e. screening and appointment stage).
Candidates invited to the assessment stage will be required to provide ORIGINAL proof of their education credentials, i.e., their degree or official transcript. Failure to do so may result in you not being considered further in the selection process.

Candidates may be required to pay for all assessment and travel expenses.
Must be willing and able to relocate and/or work in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
