Duties

• Plans, organizes and coordinates the delivery of client services and administrative support services for the front desk at the Canada Coast Guard College.
• Supervising training and assisting the front desk staff in everyday activities and all the front desk operations
• Deliver excellent customer service, at all times, ensuring guests’ comfort and safety
• Deal with all enquires in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
• Monitor and oversee maintenance issues relevant to your area and liaise with third-party contractors as required.
• Processes transactions related to purchasing, accommodations, procurement, materiel management, contracting and other service requirements with regards to hotel management
• Provides information to management and employees on administrative, human
resources, guidelines and practices.
• Provides technical/administrative expertise on administrative service related matters.
• Assesses, coordinates and provides issues and problem resolution services.
• Manages human and financial resources.
• Maintains spreadsheets and prepares reports on a range of hotel, housekeeping and maintenance

A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff similar positions, on a temporary or permanent basis, within the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney, NS.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Significant* experience in the management and the provision of accommodations or hotel services.
