The initial intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position at Canadian Forces base Halifax with an English Essential Language Profile AND One (1) indeterminate position Canadian Forces base Gagetown with a BBB/BBB Language Profile.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions, with varying tenures.

EDUCATION:
E1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position
* A degree is defined as a baccalaureate or higher level degree, as established by educational authorities
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
OC1: Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position (some positions may require eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada without regard for the field of specialization)
EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Significant* and recent** experience in construction project management through all stages of project delivery
EX2: Significant* and recent** experience in managing multiple construction projects concurrently
EX3: Significant* and recent** experience in the application of construction project, risk management and business case analysis
EX4: Significant* and recent** experience in managing construction project financial resources
EX5: Significant* and recent** experience in managing human resources or leading a project team. Human resources management/team leadership is defined as, but not limited to: assigning work, managing performance, developing resourcing plans, determining needs, approving training
Notes :
*Significant is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities on a regular basis, for the experience factor in question, which could normally be acquired over a period of approximately five (5) years.
**Recent is defined as experience obtained in the last ten (10) years.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
AE1: Post-graduate university degree
AE2: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
EXPERIENCE:
AEX1: Experience in SAP PS (Project Systems) Module and the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
AEX2: Experience working with the Department of National Defence
AEX3: Experience working in a real property environment
AEX4: Experience working with the Project Approval Directive in the Department of National Defence
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
OR1: Be available to work overtime during the week and/or weekends, sometimes on short notice
OR2: Willingness to occasionally travel in Canada
Various language requirements
Such as English Essential or French Essential or Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, etc

CoE6: Must be able to obtain and maintain a licence and to be a member in good standing of the respective provincial association of Professional Engineers
