The immediate intent of this poster is to fill one (1) position in Eel Ground, New Brunswick.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements (English Essential or Bilingual Imperative), various security requirements, various conditions of employment as well as various tenures (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) within Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and Indigenous Services Canada.

EDUCATION
Graduation from a recognized university with a degree in an environmental health related discipline, or an acceptable combination of education/training with significant* experience as an environmental health officer/public health inspector
Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) CPHI©, from the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors
*Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of duties over a minimum period of five (5) years
EXPERIENCE
Experience in dealing with multiple and diverse aspects of environmental public health and occupational health and safety
Experience in writing reports
Experience in providing advice and recommendations to management or stakeholders
Experience in preparing and delivering presentations
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Current Health and Safety Certification such as CRSP, CIH, ROHT, OHST, ROH
EXPERIENCE
Experience working with First Nations

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to travel frequently by vehicle and air to perform work related functions and to attend meetings throughout the region and in other parts of the country on behalf of FNIHB Atlantic.
Must be able and willing to travel to remote/isolated communities in small aircraft, staying overnight as required.
Use Personal Protective Equipment as required. Moderate physical effort often required in carrying out certain activities. When necessary will be required to wear full protective clothing with either a full facial respirator with cartridges, or a self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
Reliability Status security clearance
Valid driver's license required or personal mobility to a degree normally associated with the possession of a driver's license.
