Duties

The "Manager, Electoral material" oversees the planning, forecasting, procurement, production and supply management of all the essential election materials to help 338 returning officers and their staff deliver successful electoral events at the national level. The Manager supervises and manages a small team.

Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position. A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates could be established to fill similar positions at Elections Canada of various tenures and with various bilingual linguistic profiles.

EDUCATION

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES

Recent and significant* experience coordinating the acquisition, the management and the production of large quantities of printed products;
Experience in providing analysis, advice and recommendations to senior management on ongoing or emerging operational issues;
Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with internal AND external clients.

*Recent and significant is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities on a regular basis which could normally be acquired over a period of approximately two (2) years within the last five (5) years.
**“Senior management” is defined as Director and Director General.

ASSET/EDUCATION

Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with specialization in supply management, management or another related discipline.

Degree equivalency

ASSET/EXPERIENCES

Experience in working in electoral operations at the municipal, provincial or federal level;
Experience in federal government contract establishment and administration;
Experience in managing human and financial resources;
Experience using and maintaining an inventory system.
