A pool of qualified candidates may be established with various language requirements and/or profiles, English Essential, Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, and may be used to staff similar term and/or permanent positions within the Canada Border Services Agency, as well as other Federal organizations.

EDUCATION:
The minimum standard is:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
Notes:
1.The employer-approved alternatives to two years of secondary school are:
◦A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to two years of secondary school; or
◦An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Candidates who meet either of the following criteria must be accepted as meeting the two years of secondary school requirement:
a.Candidates who have achieved a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to two years of secondary school; or
b.Candidates who have been appointed or deployed for an indeterminate period to a position in the CR classification.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Experience in providing services in a client-focused environment.
Experience in providing administrative support services*.
Significant** experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Definitions
* Administrative support services is defined as but not limited to: managing agendas, scheduling and organizing meetings/teleconferences, preparing and collating meeting file folders and background materials, procuring office equipment and supplies, maintaining a filing system, coordinating travel and/or logistics, in an office environment.

** Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of activities related to this task which are acquired over a period of at least one (1) year.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of a post-secondary program or certificate from a recognized institution.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Experience in inputting and extracting financial data using an SAP equivalent financial system.
Experience in using a budget and/or salary forecasting system.
Experience responding to inquiries from external venders regarding issues related to financial transactions.
Experience in using the government travel system and applying processes and procedures regarding hospitality and travel in the federal government.
Experience in disposing of assets and/or vehicles in accordance with Treasury Board's Directive on Disposal of Surplus Materiel.
Experience in using a fleet management information system or database.
Experience in supporting an Information Technology (IT) Specialist in an IT environment.
Experience in offering administrative support services in human resources.
Experience in managing a manager or supervisor’s calendar and email.
Experience in working with a document repository system.
