You will be required to demonstrate how you meet the essential qualifications and asset qualifications (i.e. education and experience) by answering online screening questions. You must provide concrete and detailed examples to clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience requirements listed in the essential qualifications and asset qualifications section. One effective approach would be to write one or two paragraphs demonstrating that you have the required experience and ensure that clear and accurate details are provided. It is not sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather you must clearly demonstrate how, when, and where the qualifications were met through substantiation by examples. Information on your described skills, experience, etc. provided in the screening questions should be supported by your resume. Failure to provide the above information in the format required may result in your application being rejected from the process.
Business Management Assistant:
As a Business Management Assistant, you will work closely with a manager, senior manager or director. Some of your duties may include, but would not be limited to:
-Coordinate and control the flow of information in and out of the assigned work unit (correspondence, telephone calls, email and queries)
-Research, gather, analyze and provides administrative and/or executive-related information to the manager and/or staff
-Plan and coordinate the logistics related to meeting schedules, conferences, workshops, travel and other major events
-Receive, track and maintain various hard copy and electronic documents
-Participate on working groups
-Research, summarize and prepare a variety of financial and human resource related reports

A pool of qualified candidates will be created. This pool will be used to staff immediate needs of various tenures (temporary or indeterminate) at the Public Service Pay Centre in Miramichi, NB.
This pool may also be used to staff identical or similar positions at the Public Service Pay Centre in Miramichi, NB.

Education:
- A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.*
*An acceptable combination of education and experience is defined as the successful completion of 2 years of secondary school and a minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative/clerical services related to the duties of the position.

Experience:
- Experience in the use of the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in managing and maintaining an electronic filing system.

**Administrative support services is defined as, but not limited to: managing agendas, scheduling and organizing meetings/teleconferences, preparing various documentation, data entry, performing reception and/or mail duties, procuring office equipment and supplies, maintaining a filing system, and other related duties.
- Experience working and interacting with the public and/ or business representatives.
Education:
- Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution in the administrative field.
Experience:
- Experience in providing administrative support services in the Federal Public Service.
- Experience in providing administrative support in recruitment and/or staffing.
- Experience in providing administrative support in finance and/or procurement.
