In this role, you will take the lead on projects from start to finish alongside key partners such as universities, aboriginal communities as well as various government partners in the information technology field. You will have the opportunity to influence the work of tomorrow by bridging the gaps, creating new paths and breaking down existing barriers. You will work with a dynamic team in close collaboration with others to develop common objectives and start new initiatives that will change the way things are done in the future. This will enable you to help build an internal culture and support the current digital workforce of today and tomorrow.
The PSC is located in a brand new building at 22 Eddy Street, in the heart of downtown Gatineau. Our location is easily accessible and is located near Terrasses de la Chaudière and just a few kilometers away from downtown Ottawa. Our facilities meet the new 2.0 office concept and is WI-FI ready throughout the building. Our employees also have access to showers, changing rooms and reserved spaces for bicycles, which is ideal for those wishing to travel to work by bike, running or walking while using the nearby bike paths. Moreover, the PSC launched in March, a pilot project for active workstations, which now enables our employees to work while walking on treadmill or pedaling on stationary bike.
The results of this process will initially be used to staff this position on a two-year term basis. A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff identical or similar positions on an indeterminate or term basis with various linguistic profiles within the Public Service Commission in the National Capital Region.
IMPORTANT: This pool may be used to staff similar positions in other organizations within the core public administration. Experience
• Experience in preparing presentations, briefing notes or reports.
• Experience in liaising and collaborating with stakeholders and colleagues.
• Experience in reviewing and updating materials for management.
Education
• Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program.
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Experience working with information technology professionals.
• Experience working in human resources management.
• Experience providing advice to managers on policies and procedures relating to complex, sensitive or confidential matters.
