Intent of the process

The positions to staff immediately are located at 2745 Iris Street, Ottawa, Ontario. A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures within the Public Services and Procurement Canada in the National Capital Region.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
- A secondary school diploma or a post-secondary diploma from a recognized institution.

Degree equivalency

EXPERENCE:
EXP1- Experience with the processing of security screening personnel files.
EXP2- Experience in providing advice and information to private sector clients.
EXP3- Experience in verifying the accuracy and completeness of documents.
EXP4- Experience managing correspondence and providing responses to clients.
EXP5- Experience organizing and maintaining an electronic database.

Various language requirements
This selection process will be used to staff positions with the following language requirements: Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB and English Essential.

KNOWLEDGE:
K1- Knowledge of the Contract Security Program.
K2- Knowledge of security requirements of various personnel security designations, such as Reliability Status, Confidential, Secret, Top Secret and NATO type clearances.
K3- Knowledge of Treasury Board (TB) Standard on Security Screening.

ABILITIES:
A1- Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
A2- Ability to communicate effectively orally.
A3- Ability to analyze and make recommendations.
A4- Ability to manage a workload with priorities.

PERSONAL SUITABILITIES:

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
AEXP1- Experience in providing advice and information to government stakeholders.

AEXP5- Experience working in a security program or environment.
AEXP6- Experience in conducting work in support of a security related investigation.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Some positions may require the following operational requirement:
- Willing and able to work overtime on short notice.
