Duties include but are not limited to: researching training course offerings; registering employees for training courses; processing Learning Activity Requests (LARs); estimating costs related to travel for training; payment of invoices for tuition; updating employee training records; communicating with training providers and managers; and reconciling the training budget on a monthly basis.

The intent of this process is to staff one permanent (English essential) position in Dartmouth, NS. A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff identical or similar positions within Transport Canada or in other federal government departments.

EDUCATION
ED: Successful completion of secondary school education.
EXPERIENCE
EX1: Experience in providing client services.
EX2: Experience in providing administrative support services.
EX3: Experience in records management such as filing, tracking and organizing in electronic versions.
EX4: Experience using computer software such as Microsoft Excel.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
AED: Completion of a post-secondary diploma in a field related to the position, such as business administration and/or concentration in accounting.
EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Experience providing financial support services in the following:
• Reconciling financial transactions;
• Verifying and paying invoices; and
• Extracting, reconciling, interpreting and compiling financial information for use by management.
AEX2: Experience organizing and completing a project.
