In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering, geological engineering, naval architecture or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position such as:
- Computer (Software) engineering
- Computer (Hardware) engineering
- Network engineering
OR
Certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

EX1. Experience in applying Systems Engineering principles
EX2. Experience providing advice and recommendations to management on engineering issues
EX3. Experience in planning and performing independent studies, or engineering work as part of a project, or as engineer-in-charge
EX4. Significant* engineering experience in one, or more, of the follow areas:
a. Requirement gathering
b. Design review
c. Testing, verification and validation

•*Significant experience means one (1) year in the workplace.

K1. Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices, including (SDLC), relevant to IM/IT or Cyber and IT Security

K3. Knowledge of current trends and best practices, as well as issues and challenges facing the public or the private sector in the fields of IM and IT (including, but not limited to networks, Cyber and IM/IT security)
K4. Knowledge of testing methodologies

CA2 – ITIL - Information Technology Infrastructure Library certification
CA3 – EA - Enterprise Architectural Framework
CA4 – CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional

EXPERIENCE (Asset)

E1. Experience planning, defining or implementation of an IT networking or Cyber and IT Security projects
E2. Experience with communication systems
E3. Experience managing technical projects.
E4. Experience with Enterprise architecture framework

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

Depending on the position to staff, operational requirements could apply such as:
