OSFI is looking for a bright and talented individual to join our growing Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) team specializing in privacy. If you are a service-oriented person who enjoys collaborating with team members, we hope to hear from you.

This position explores and expands on privacy practices within the government and private context. The Privacy Office specializes in several privacy practices from conducting privacy risk assessments; research, analyzing and providing expect advice on privacy issues related to the new technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, etc; responding to allegations of privacy breaches; and working in partnership with our internal and external partners in cyber security, information management, recordkeeping, IT, business continuity, communications, human resources, etc; in the delivery of the OSFI’s departmental privacy program services, products and activities.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis.

This selection process may be used to establish a pool of partially qualified and/or qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar positions at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

EDUCATION:
- Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with the Privacy legislation and/or Access to Information legislation.
- Experience conducting research, analysis and developing recommendations and/or options on privacy related matters.
- Experience preparing briefing materials and providing advice to management on sensitive privacy or access to information matters.

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
- Experience coordinating privacy impact assessments.
- Experience responding to privacy breach allegations.
- Experience providing training and information sessions.

As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
