Intent of the process

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates will be established which may be used to staff similar positions within the Department of Justice Canada with various tenures, language requirements and/or conditions of employment, which may vary according to the position to be staffed.

Stream 2:
These entry-level positions could lead to appointments to legistic revisor positions (EC-04 and EC-05) once candidates are appointed, trained and ready for advancement.

Information you must provide

Your résumé.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION - Stream 1 and Stream 2
Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with acceptable specialization in social science, statistics, library/archival work or a law-related field.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE - Stream 1 and Stream 2
Experience using Microsoft Office

Experience in working with the Federal legislation structure

EXPERIENCE - Stream 1
Experience in working with XML documents

EXPERIENCE - Stream 2
Experience in consulting and analyzing legal documents (for example, legislation, court decisions or agreements)

Various language requirements
The immediate need is to staff these positions with a linguistic profile of bilingual imperative CBB/CBB.

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates will be established from this process which may be used to staff similar positions with various language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French essential, bilingual imperative of various levels).

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in a law-related field or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience in this field.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Experience in working with the EPIC drafting tool

Experience in revising, editing and proofreading of the French or English version of a text destined for public availability

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance

For certain positions: Candidates must be willing, and available, to work on a schedule that begins in the afternoon and ends late in the evening

Candidates must be willing, and available, to work overtime when necessary
