Correctional Service Canada is looking for candidates interested in the position of Supervisor Facilities Management. Candidates will be able to adequately demonstrate excellent skills, abilities and administrative experience in Supervising the delivery of building, infrastructure and equipment Maintenance services to a facility (facility is defined as a building and grounds which are similar in size to a correctional institution, hospital, airport, shopping mall, or college campus).
Responsibilities:
Directs the work of front line staff within an Institution as well as works in conjunction with technical and support staff to ensure effective, efficient and timely delivery of Facilities Management services to an Institution within a clustered group in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Client service results:
Contribute to the Planning and oversight of the delivery of Facilities Management at a Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) facility through qualified and experienced technical and support staff and contracts in accordance with the scope and standards defined in the SLA.
Results of this process will be to create a pool of qualified candidates from which future indeterminate and/or specified period vacancies may be filled. This process may be used to staff similar positions in the Pacific Region.

EXPERIENCE
Experience supervising the delivery of infrastructure or equipment maintenance and construction services to a large facility*.
* Facility is defined as a building and grounds which are similar in size to a correctional institution, hospital, airport, shopping mall, or college campus.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of project management in the Government of Canada (https://www.canada.ca/en/treasury-board-secretariat/services/information-technology-project-management/project-management.html).
Knowledge of applicable regulations related to the delivery of facilities infrastructure, equipment construction and maintenance services.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
ABILITIES
Ability to supervise the delivery of infrastructure and equipment maintenance services to a facility*.
Ability to resolve operational issues.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering.
Completion of a Post Secondary College Certificate or Diploma program, or apprenticeship accreditation program, resulting in certification in at least one of the following:
• Journeyman Trade Certification in a Building or Mechanic Trade, or
• Building Systems Technician, or
• Facilities Technician, or
• Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Technician, or
• Civil, mechanical, or electronic Technologist, or
• Stationary or Power Engineer or
• Professional management certification in a program relevant to facilities management such as: BOMA Maintenance Management Professional, or Asset Management Professional, or acceptable equivalent or
• Engineering degree in a discipline relevant to facility maintenance
OR an acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience
EXPERIENCE
Experience working in correctional facility.
Experience managing projects in either a facilities infrastructure, equipment maintenance or construction environment.
