Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this process is to staff one position on a term basis in Vancouver, BC. This process may be used to staff similar positions of various locations of various tenures.

Education:
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in business, economics, regional planning, resource management, policy, public administration or other field relevant to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Please demonstrate how you have gained the below experience criteria within the past five (5) years:
E1: Experience in planning and implementing programs or delivery of services
E2: Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships or relationships with internal and external stakeholders or clients
E3: Experience in the preparation of briefings, reports and correspondence on complex issues for management.

AS5: Experience in conflict resolution with external parties.
AS6: Experience in working with Indigenous groups in resource management, governance or fisheries issues.
AS7:Experience working with Not-for-Profit organizations.
AS8: Experience implementing policies or practices for salmon stock assessment in Pacific Region.
AS9: Experience in data analysis, and working with information management systems or database systems.

Operational Requirements:
• Ability and willingness to work overtime on occasion
• Ability and willingness to travel within BC and Yukon – Travel will include remote locations by various modes of transportations

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent (required for some positions)
