There is an immediate need to staff two (2) permanent positions in Petawawa, Ontario and one (1) permanent position in Shilo, Manitoba.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions, with varying tenures in various locations.

Education:
For positions in Ontario:
ED1 – Vocational diploma in drafting or college diploma related to building and public works OR Geographical Information Systems (GIS) OR an acceptable combination of education and training in the field of drafting and technical drawing of buildings.
For positions in Manitoba:
ED2 – Vocational diploma in drafting or college diploma related to buildings or public works OR an acceptable combination of education and training in the field of drafting and technical drawing of buildings.
Experience (For all positions) :
EX1 – **Recent experience in building and municipal systems including building code interpretation, the conception and production of technical drawings, as-built drawings and graphics using AutoCAD software.
EX2 – Experience in drafting techniques utilized to develop client ideas and requirements into conceptual drawings or sketches.
**Recent is defined as experience acquired within the last five (5) years.

For all positions:
AS1 – Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
For positions in Manitoba only:
AS2- Ability to use AutoCad to produce site or building drawings.

• Experience in use of REVIT software.

• Ability to perform construction surveys using Total Stations.
Operational Requirements:
OR1 – Willing and able to work overtime.
OR2 – Willing and able to travel.
OR3 – Willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety regulations.
Reliability Status security clearance
For positions in Ontario:
• Possession of a valid unrestricted Class G driver’s license issued by the province of Ontario or provincial or territorial equivalent.
For positions in Manitoba:
• Possession of a valid unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license issued by the province of Manitoba or provincial or territorial equivalent.
For all positions:
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain a DND 404 military driver’s license.
• A current and acceptable driver’s abstract.

Candidates must meet all of the essential qualifications noted in the Statement of Merit Criteria to be appointed to a position.
