Correctional Service Canada is looking for a Regional Maintenance Specialist who will have as main responsibility implementation management and oversight the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), occupational health and safety programs and procurement tools for Quebec region. He will also act as support and expert for maintenance specialists and will develop standards, methods and maintenance management protocols to be applied at all sites. We are looking for someone who is an excellent leader and passionate about facilities maintenance management. The Technical Services, Quebec Region, of Correctional Service Canada is a stimulating and dynamic environment. His mission is to ensure the operation, compliance and sustainability of a real estate portfolio of more than $ 8 billion dollars in an operational environment. We are responsible for 9 penitentiary clusters located throughout Quebec. The facilities we manage are diverse such as buildings and structures, electrical and mechanicals systems, infrastructures, generators, oil tanks, thermal power stations, water treatment and purification plants to name only those.
A pool of qualified candidates will be created following this process, and could be
used to staff similar positions for indeterminate and term appointments and deployments in the Quebec Region.

Degree from a recognized postsecondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Significant experience* managing a facility maintenance program.
Experience** implementing or maintaining a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Experience managing projects in the building industry.
* “Significant experience” refers to the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with performance of the duties for a period of three (3) years.
** “Experience” refers to the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with performance of the duties for a period of approximately one (1) year.
An engineering degree from a recognized postsecondary institution or eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada in an engineering specialty related to the duties of the position.
Experience:
Experience working in the field of correctional infrastructure.
Experience working on infrastructure projects within a federal government department.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

Knowledge of relevant Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Ability to analyze and develop recommendations to resolve issues.
