Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) leads the management of Canada’s fisheries and the safeguarding of Canadian waters. The Canadian Coast Guard, a Special Operating Agency within DFO, is responsible for services and programs that contribute to the safety, security, and accessibility of Canada’s waterways. Secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternative.
Experience in providing administrative or clerical support in an office environment.
Experience using spreadsheet, word processing and email software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or similar software
Experience managing an electronic calendar (booking meetings and appointments) (AS-01 only).
Experience using on-line travel booking, and preparing and/or verifying travel claims (AS-01 only)

Experience using MariTime software system.
Experience using Phoenix as a Timekeeper (Time and Labour Module)
Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint

Experience using PeopleSoft
Experience providing financial support services in one (1) or more of the following:
Reconciling financial transactions
Verifying and paying invoices
Extracting, reconciling, interpreting and comparing financial information for management
Preparing budgets and financial spreadsheets
Creating contracts and /or purchase orders
Experience using any other database program.
Reliability or Secret security clearance
Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required by operational needs
