Verifies newly created rule sets to ensure they are as per the lease royalty calculation. Manually calculates the royalty and compares it to the Resource Information Management System (RIMS) rule set calculation; signs off that the rule set is correct and provides it to the Supervisor, Royalty.
Monitors the royalty suspense account. Recommends and follows through the release of monies from suspense as directed by the Supervisor, Royalty. Maintains a spreadsheet with the amount of dollars released and in suspense each month with regular reporting to Supervisor.
Regularly monitors other provincial regimes for any changes that may affect IOGC’s royalty calculations.
Plans, organizes and implements the conduct of special reviews and investigates deficiencies and discrepancies associated with the assessment of RIMS based royalties received on behalf of First Nations, including following up on missing documents and preparation.
Indian Oil and Gas Canada (IOGC) is located away from Calgary's downtown core at the west end of Anderson Road on Tsuut'ina First Nation lands.
This process will initially be used to staff one position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to staff similar term and/or indeterminate positions.

Post-secondary diploma or certificate in business administration or production accounting, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience
Recent experience in the conventional oil and gas industry (3-4 years)
CAPPA certificate or completed levels towards the certificate
Experience working with First Nations
