The Quebec Regional Office is seeking a pharmacist to ensure reliable drug supply services and oversee safe drug management in the health facilities of indigenous communities in Quebec. The Department’s offices are located in Montreal.
Even though this posting is active until the 27th of September 2019, we suggest applying as soon as possible since we will select a first round of candidates before the end of the posting.

The intention of the process is to fill the following position:
Pharmacist PH-02 for an indefinite term
The intent is also to staff positions via the Aboriginal Peoples Employment Program (APEP), which aims to strategically increase Aboriginal representation within the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB). As such, Organizational Needs may be applied and first consideration may be given to candidates self-identifying as belonging to Aboriginal Peoples.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Member in good standing of the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or Pharm. D. or Masters in advanced pharmacotherapy or hospital pharmacy residency or equivalent degree from another province.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Significant experience in community pharmacy and/or hospital pharmacy
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
Official languages proficiency will not be assessed for entry to the pool. Candidates entered in the pool will have an opportunity for assessment of their official languages proficiency if and when they are considered for an appointment.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of the Quebec provincial healthcare network and social services.
Knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice and pharmacotherapy notably, current guidelines, optimal drug usage, drug classification.
Knowledge of pertinent federal and provincial legislation, such as the Canada Health Act, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Loi sur la pharmacie as well as the various regulations that govern pharmacy practice in Quebec.
ESSENTIAL ABILITIES :
Ability to communicate information effectively, orally and in writing.
Ability to implement policies and/or strategies , design criteria and implement procedures that operationalize policy change.
Ability to analyse and interpret pharmaceutical data and provide advice for the Branch.
