Intent for the Prairie and Northern Region (Calgary, Edmonton & Winnipeg):
The intent of this process is to staff one indeterminate position in one of the three above noted locations. Pending the volume of applications received, candidates mobile to Winnipeg may be assessed prior to other candidates as this is the preferred location of the position.

A covering letter in 5,000 words (maximum) "Candidates must submit a cover letter which clearly demonstrates how they meet all screening criteria (essential education and experience qualifications and any asset qualifications). It is not sufficient to only state that the qualification is met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. You must provide concrete examples to demonstrate that the qualification is met. You are encouraged to describe in detail when, where and how you gained the experience. Resumes will only be used as a secondary source to validate the experience described in the letter. Failure to provide an appropriate cover letter will result in the rejection of your application. Candidates will not be solicited for incomplete or possible missing information."
-Bachelor of Law degree or University degree with a major in Law from a recognized university.
-Experience in writing documents that summarize legal, strategic or technical issues and in making recommendations to management on these issues
-Experience in legal research
-Experience in legal analysis
-Bachelor of law from a Canadian university
-Masters of Law from a recognized university
-Possession of a university Degree or college Diploma in a field related to Aviation
-Completion of a Bar Admission Course and of articles
-Completion of a legal drafting course
-Experience as an advocate before an administrative tribunal or in civil or criminal venues
-Experience in practicing law in the private or public sector
-Experience in training people through presentations or other methods

-Knowledge of the principles of constitutional law and administrative law
-Knowledge of the Aeronautics Act and the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
-Knowledge of Civil Aviation’s Enforcement policy and the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada (TATC).
