We are currently looking for dynamic, dedicated, innovative and client-focused individuals to be part of the growing team of the Centre of Excellence (CoE). The team provides Reporting, Planning and Analytic tools, support and advice related to the SAP financial reporting systems as well as related services to CoE and to end users nationally.
The main duties will be to assist the team with various tasks such as:
• software upgrades
• design, build and document new BI content
• support and maintain existing BI content

The work location for this position is in the National Capital Region, on the Central Experimental Farm, building 34 near the Carling Avenue and Maple Drive intersection.
Immediate Need: Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has an immediate need for a programmer/analyst in Ottawa to fill an English Essential position.
A pool of partially and/or fully qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at AAFC with various tenures as well as various linguistic requirements.

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
E1. Experience in analyzing client requirements and implementing solutions using SAP Business Intelligence applications or other similar BI tools;
E2. Experience in data analysis and developing Business Intelligence reports using SAP BI Suite or similar applications;
E3. Experience in systems analysis and design, including drafting functional requirements, technical specifications, or test specifications and recommending solutions;
E4. Experience in providing advice on Business Intelligence applications.

Graduation with a university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
AQ1. Experience in developing scripts and reports using SAP ABAP programming language or Structured Query Language (SQL).
AQ2. Experience in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
AQ3. Experience in testing SAP software product and patch upgrades
AQ4. Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing report and database performance issues
AQ5. Experience in data warehousing and managing ETL (extract, transform, load) processes
