Assessment information:
A variety of tools and methods may be used to assess candidates, including, but not limited to, written tests, interviews and/or reference checks.
Any information that you provide throughout the process may form part of the assessment, including:
1. Screening questionnaire: A summary of past experience, including the situation, action and result must be included in your responses to the screening questionnaire.
2. Reference checks and/or performance assessments: The names of two (2) supervisors and one (1) client and/or performance management agreements from the past two (2) fiscal years may be requested.
A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established from this process to staff identical or similar positions within Statistics Canada across Canada. This process may be used to staff positions of various tenures, language requirements, security profiles and various work locations.

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Notes).
Notes:
The employer-approved alternatives to two years of secondary school are:
a) A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to two years of secondary school; or,
b) An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
EXP-1 Experience performing tasks related to administrative services (e.g. travel and hospitality arrangements, human resources, finance and data entry)
EXP-2 Experience with client service
EXP-3 Experience working with Microsoft Office and Excel (e.g. developing spreadsheets, using formulas)
ASSETS:
Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
EXPERIENCE:
AEXP-1 Experience in using HRG (Hogg Robinson Group) government of Canada travel system
AEXP-2 Experience with the census or another Statistics Canada Survey
AEXP-3 Experience in providing administrative support in human resources or finance(e.g. data entry using SIMS or SAMS)
AEXP-4 Experience maintaining an electronic or paper filing system
