This position provides administrative support to managers within CORCAN business lines. This position works collaboratively with various CORCAN groups, other CSC areas and the public. The position is responsible for various administrative duties including scheduling, report creation, correspondance control, documentation related to travel, human resources, invoices (payable and receivable) in support of the operations manager. This includes entering information in and retrieving information from various electronic systems and databases.
This position works at a correctional institution or community correctional environment where offenders are present on a daily basis.
There are four immediate indeterminate vacancies. A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to fill similar positions of permanent or temporary tenures within Correctional Service Canada.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
EXPERIENCE
Experience providing administrative support services
Experience in correspondence control (incoming and outgoing)
Experience in record tracking and record management
EDUCATION
Post secondary education resulting in a certificate; diploma or degree relevant to the position (i.e. administrative support; clerical; business).
EXPERIENCE
Experience managing an electronic bring forward (BF) system
Experience in email and calendar management for a supervisor/manager
Experience researching, extracting and compiling information from various sources
Experience in the preparation of correspondence and reports for management
Experience in complex records management (i.e. multiple types, multiple locations or a high volume)
Experience arranging travel and processing expense claims using the SharedTravel Services system
Experience completing finance related tasks (accounts payable; account receivable; processing invoices or billing clients)
Experience providing administrative support related to human resources
Experience taking records of discussion or minutes at meetings
Experience in providing administrative support related to contracting and procurement Experience working in a correctional environment (community or institution)
