The Manager directs activities related to the design, installation, administration and maintenance of video, alarm and access control security networks.

The immediate need is to staff one permanent position, with an Bilingual imperative BBC/BBC linguistic profile and RCMP Top Secret security clearance requirement.
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP, in Montreal, Quebec, on a permanent or temporary basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security requirements.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed OR acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
**Note that the completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary education program in any electronic engineering technology will be accepted as a relevant specialty.
EXPERIENCE
Extensive experience in the research, design, development, implementation, support and
maintenance of technologies with emphasis on security systems and operations
Extensive experience in the planning, budgeting and management of human and financial resources
Extensive experience in the development of policies, standards, training plans and advisory services in support of national or regional systems.
Several years of experience in leading projects in an electronic, computer system or networking environment.
"Extensive experience” is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally be acquired by a person in a position where the performance of these duties constitutes their main function for five (5) years, or more, within the last seven (7) years.
"Several years of experience ” is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally be acquired by a person in a position where the performance of these duties constitutes their main function for approximately two (2) years.
Recent experience in technical protective electronic surveillance devices or techniques
“Recent experience” refers to experience gained within the last five years (approximately).
