OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
Possess a valid provincial or interprovincial Automotive Painter Certificate or Motor Vehicle Body Repairer (Metal & Paint) Certificate or a QL5 Mat Tech qualification
EXPERIENCE:
Recent experience with the use and maintenance of high volume low pressure (HVLP) spray application systems
(recent experience means experience within the past 5 years)
English or French
Information on language requirements
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of the proper use of various painting devices such as spray booths, spray guns, sanding and polishing equipment, stencil cutters and sandblasting equipment
ABILITY:
Ability to prioritize workload
Ability to work safely and follow safety procedures
Ability to interpret written instructions, drawings, blueprints or technical specifications as they apply to the trade.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
Certification in First Aid.
Certification in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
EXPERIENCE:
Experience welding various metals using oxy-acetylene, arc welders, plasma cutters, or spot welders to renew vehicle bodies
Experience painting Standard Military Pattern (SMP) vehicles, Light Armored Vehicles (LAV) - Tracked or Wheeled, Military Engineering Bridging Systems and associated equipment
Experience using Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)

Must hold and retain a valid provincial driver’s license
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DND 404 Driver/Operator Permit
