Your cover letter of up to 5,000 words (of which a maximum of 500 words per experience) must include each of the education and experience criteria (essential and assets) as subtitles. Under each of the subtitles, you must clearly explain, in less than 500 words and by concrete examples, how you meet the criteria of education and experience. It is not sufficient to indicate that you have the required qualifications or to provide a list of tasks or to refer to the CV. You MUST clearly indicate the place, time and title of the diploma obtained including the name of the educational institution. As for the experience criteria, you MUST name the employers or organizations, the title of the position held and the period (month / year to month / year) where you gained the demonstrated experience in your concrete examples. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology, statistics, law, business/commerce, political science, public policy, mathematics or in a field relevant to the positions to be staffed.
EXPERIENCE:
E1: Significant* experience in conducting research and providing strategic advice to senior management** in relation to complex*** projects, including the identification, management and resolution of issues.
E2: Experience in preparing and presenting complex*** verbal and written briefings / reports, strategic advice and decision documents to senior management**.
E3: Experience in building relationships and collaborating with internal and/or external stakeholders and/or partners.
E4: Experience in leading, coordinating and implementing complex*** programs or projects.
E5: Experience in leading project teams, working groups and/or discussions in a multi-disciplinary environment, to integrate a broad range of strategies and/or plans, and to recommend options to senior management**.
* Significant experience will be evaluated in regard to the depth and breadth of work demonstrated normally acquired by performing the duties for a period of two (2) years.
** Senior management is defined as the equivalent of Director General level or higher.
*** Complex is defined as comprised of multiple aspects/elements with inter-related links/impacts that require clear explanations to be well understood.

EDUCATION:
-Law degree from a recognized university (such as LLB or JD or LLL).
EXPERIENCE:
AE1: Experience working in the field of intellectual property such as, but not limited to, undertaking research, analysis and provision of advice.
AE2: Significant* experience in interpreting regulations and implementing them.
* Significant experience will be evaluated in regard to the depth and breadth of work demonstrated normally acquired by performing the duties for a period of two (2) years.
Operational Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to work overtime, occasionally;
- Willingness and ability to travel, occasionally.
