We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate IN THEIR SCREENING QUESTION RESPONSES how they meet EACH of the EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE and ABILITY and PERSONAL SUITABILITY factors listed in the essential qualifications using concrete examples.
Please note that it is not sufficient to only state that the requirement is met or to provide a listing of current responsibilities, rather the candidate must provide concrete examples that illustrate how they meet the requirement. Lack of EXAMPLES and DETAILS will result in your elimination as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine whether or not you meet the qualifications.
In addition, candidates may be required to possess the asset qualifications to meet the specific requirements of a position to be filled. Asset qualifications can be used to determine the best candidate for the position or to better manage the number of applications. Therefore, if you have the asset qualifications, it would be beneficial for you to demonstrate it as well in your application.
Resumes will ONLY be used as a secondary source. Failure to provide the required information in the question responses WILL result in your application being rejected and your elimination from this selection process.
The screening questions may take some time for candidates to complete. However, your answers to these questions with the validation of your references will determine if you qualify or not in this selection process. Candidates are therefore encouraged to allow enough time to provide relevant and complete answers.
*ONLY ONLINE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED*
Shared Services Canada will only accept on-line applications submitted through the Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS). This system has many benefits for applicants including that you can:
- modify your application/resume at any time BEFORE the closing date,
- complete screening questions which will highlight your qualifications,
- verify the status of your application and notification(s), at any time,
- be notified electronically of assessment details and results.
Please note that all communications concerning this process, including e-mails, could be used for the assessment of qualifications.
