A response to a text question addressing the following:
Education:
A Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA) or a professional internal auditor certification (CIA).
You must be prepared to provide the original or a certified true copy of your educational credentials.
Experience:
- Recent* and significant** experience in leading the planning and delivery of all phases of an internal audit or evaluation (planning, conducting and reporting).
- Recent* and significant** experience in providing strategic advice, and presenting audit findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Recent* experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in writing and presenting briefing material to senior officials.
- Experience in managing financial and human resources.
*Recent is defined as experience acquired over the last five (5) years.
**Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex activities related to this task, which are normally acquired over a period of at least two (2) years.
Experience with program evaluation.

Operational Requirement:
- Ability and willingness to travel within Canada.

Appointment decisions may be based on one or more of the following criteria:

- Matching of the individual's experience or qualifications to the specific duties of the position being staffed;
- Depth, breadth, type of work-specific experience;
- Level/degree of one or more competencies/qualifications.
Depending on the number of applicants and CGC's needs, volume management strategies such as random selection, top-down approach and/or establishing cut-off scores to determine who will continue in the staffing process, may be used for the purpose of managing applications. Please note that although you may attain the established pass mark on any of the assessments used in this staffing process, management may decide to use a higher cut off score.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
