Duties

Conduct research in order to answer client inquiries and provide legislative and policy guidance in a fast pace, always changing environment.

Continually assess risk and shift priorities, while being flexible regarding workload.
Develop and maintain expertise in the use of RCMP systems.

Visit Detachments and Units in order to provide assistance, guidance, and overall Information Management awareness.

Provide system, and information management training in a classroom, or Detachment setting.

Anticipatory Staffing - A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff positions with various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, deployment and acting).

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience researching and interpreting legislation and policies in the course of work responsibilities.

Experience using software such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Graduation with a degree or diploma in Records Management.

Degree equivalency

Experience providing Information Management functions.

Experience using Government of Canada Documents (GCDOCS).

Experience using a human resources information management system such as PeopleSoft.

Experience using Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS) with End User Role Based Access Control (RBAC).

Experience using Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS) with Information Manager (IM) Role Based Access Control (RBAC).

Experience conducting training.

Willing and able to lift 66 lbs/30 kg.

Willing and able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Overtime may be required.

Travel by auto and/or airplane will be required.

Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Willing and able to work in an environment which could include exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.

You may be assessed using one or more of the following tools: standardized tests, written exams, interview, simulation exercise, reference check, and other assessment tools.

The assessment board reserves the right to contact references other than those provided by the candidates (within the public service only), if deemed it necessary to conduct a sufficient assessment of the candidates.
