Duties include the following activities:
• Litigation processing and Court Services for judiciary and litigants;
• Information and liaison services for judiciary, staff, lawyers, litigants and the
general public;
• Procedural advice and assistance to the general public and internal and
external clients (judges, litigants, lawyers, interveners, witnesses) staff, media on the filing of legal and originating documents submitted to the Courts and prepared by the Courts;
• Compliance services, guidance, support and advice on procedural
requirements to general public, clients lawyers, litigants and other registry
staff;
• Coordinates activities within the court environment prior to the arrival of the
judge; records minutes of hearings; and serves as Court Registrar or Court Technician at sittings of the Courts.

A pool of candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various tenure, various linguistic profiles and security requirements in different locations within the Courts Administration Service.

Successful completion of two (2) years post-secondary* education OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to the position**.
Definitions :
* Post-secondary education means years of education following high school graduation (grade 12 or Secondary V).
** Acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to the position is defined as a high school graduation (grade 12 or Secondary V) and three (3) years of work experience in a judicial, quasi-judicial environment*** or legal environment.
*** Judicial or quasi-judicial environment means a Federal Board, Commission, Tribunal or Court (Federal, Provincial or Municipal).
Experience providing front line service to internal and external clients.
Significant* experience providing procedural recommendations and advice to internal and external clients.
Experience working in a legal environment such as a federal, provincial and/or municipal Court, Tribunal, Board, Commission, law firm or equivalent.
Definition:
(*) Significant refers to the breadth and depth of experience and is defined as a combination of time spent doing the activity, as well as type (range, scope, and complexity) of work handled related to the experience criteria.

Experience working as a Registry Officer or similar position in a federal, provincial and/or municipal Court, Tribunal, Board or Commission.
Experience applying acts, regulations and directives.
Experience working at Courts Administration Service.
Reliability Status security clearance
Work hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Require to work overtime, often on short notice.

The assessment board reserves the right to contact references other than the ones submitted by the candidates (only within the Public Service), if found necessary, in order to make a suitable assessment of the candidates.
