- Lead and support business advisory consultations and proactive engagements conducted by the OPC to promote compliance with Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/P-8.6/
- Conduct research and environment scans to identify promotional opportunities and develop business advisory activities to achieve program goals.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners and stakeholders to develop relationships, opportunities and strategies to effectively deliver services.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on complex business advisory cases and, guide and mentor OPC staff on promotional matters relating to business advisory functions.
- Carry out exhibits and conduct speaking engagements to support the OPC’s Outreach Strategy.
- Provide advice and recommendations to senior management on complex cases, existing/emerging privacy issues and program delivery and performance matters.
The Business Advisory Directorate is located in Toronto, ON. The successful candidate may be located in either Toronto or at OPC’s headquarter in Gatineau, Québec.

Degree from a recognized university
Experience
Experience in conducting research, analyzing facts and formulating recommendations on complex issues
Experience in delivering briefings and drafting written advice and reports on complex issues
Experience in applying, interpreting and advising on privacy laws, policies, regulations and general data management practices.
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)
Information on language requirements
Knowledge
