Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff one (1) indeterminate position in Petawawa, Ontario with a language requirement of English Essential.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions with various security levels, tenures, locations, language requirements and linguistic profiles.

Education:
- Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, statistics or sociology. Candidates with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution that is not in the required specialization, may obtain that specialization through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
- Recent experience conducting research, data collection, identifying and assessing relevant information, identifying patterns and trends

- Recent experience in analysis of reports.

- Recent experience in drafting reports and presentations.

- Recent experience in developing or applying analytical techniques, qualitative/quantitative methodology, or technological solutions to advance a project.

- Recent experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with internal or external partners/stakeholders.

- Recent experience in the use of statistical analysis software

*Recent experience is defined as being within the past 5 years and gained either as a supervisor or employee.

Education:
- Master’s Degree or PhD from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology or Statistics.

Degree equivalency

Operational Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as required
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally or internationally for training or meetings as required

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance - This process will be used to staff the above-mentioned position with a secret security level. It may also be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff identical and /or similar positions with various security levels (Top Secret, Secret, Special access).
