We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
Candidates must provide a resume and cover letter which clearly demonstrates, with concrete and detailed examples, how they meet the education and experience requirements listed as essential qualifications, and the other qualifications (may be needed for the job). It is not sufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current duties. Also, the point form style or a copy/paste of your résumé will not be accepted. One effective approach would be to use the wording of each requirement as a heading and then write one or two paragraphs demonstrating, with clear and accurate details, how you meet each of them. Failure to provide sufficient information could result in the application being screened out.
Written communication will be assessed through your cover letter, application and responses to the formal assessment.
The competencies will be assessed through the screening questions. Your responses will be the only formal assessment as part of this staffing process. The answers will be validated by contacting the reference provided. No formal interview will take place as part of this staffing process.
Candidates are to email their proof of education documents accompanied by their name and selection process number to , on or before the closing date of the job advertisement.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and could also be used to staff similar positions of various tenures within Employment and Social Development Canada and other federal departments.
