- Plans and conducts the CGC’s audits of licensees (complexity of the licensee can range from a very small operation to a multinational conglomerate either domestic or foreign organizations).
- Prepares audit reports and final audit letters to licensees.
- Reviews current and prospective licensees’ financial statements.
This process will be used to staff one indeterminate position.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used for similar indeterminate, specified period employment, acting appointments, assignments, secondments or deployments.

Education:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in accounting, business administration, commerce, finance or some other specialty relevant to the position.
Occupational Certification:
- Completion of a Chartered Professional Accounting designation (CPA).
Experience:
- Recent* and significant** experience in the planning, execution and reporting of audits.
- Experience in performing financial reviews.
- Recent* and significant** experience in using word processing and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
*Recent is defined as within the last 5 years.
**Significant is defined as 2 or more years in duration.
Education:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in accounting and auditing.
Experience:
- Experience in performing financial reviews /audits of grain company operations.
English essential

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the Canada Grain Act and Regulations and Orders.
- Knowledge of the theory and application of audit techniques, including the analysis and evaluation of internal controls.
- Knowledge of the grain industry, its organizations and elevator operations.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Grain Commission and its services.

A "recognized" post-secondary institution is a Canadian university and/or community college that has provincial or territorial degree-granting status, or a university outside Canada, the programs/degrees of which are accepted by a recognized Canadian university. In the latter, please indicate if the programs/degrees you hold have been accepted by a recognized Canadian university or if you have received an equivalency established by educational authorities. It is the candidate's responsibility to demonstrate that the degree/program held has been approved by a "recognized" Canadian university. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of your application.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
