Assessment accommodation

There are two (2) groups and levels for this process:
Stream 1 - SG SRE 03 - Regulatory Affairs Officer

Stream 2 - SG SRE 04 - Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer

In the application, you must provide your curriculum vitae. In the pre-screening questions, for each Essential and Asset education and experience qualification indicate Yes if you have/meet it. Then below each experience qualification for which you have indicated Yes, you must provide clear and concrete EXAMPLES and DETAILS of how you meet them. For the experience qualifications, be sure to include WHEN, WHERE and HOW you obtained this experience. It is recommended that you describe the examples in specific terms, providing sufficient details so that the Assessment Board can clearly understand the circumstances. Describe the situation/task, the action you took, what you accomplished and/or what you learned. DO NOT SIMPLY INDICATE IN YOUR RESPONSE "PLEASE REFER TO CV/RÉSUMÉ". Lack of EXAMPLES and DETAILS may result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine whether or not you meet the qualifications.

Applicants should be aware that this selection process may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various linguistic profiles and security requirements, conditions of employment as well as various tenures (term, acting and/or indeterminate). In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

All Streams:
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in microbiology, chemistry, mechanical engineering, pharmacy, food science, or some other specialty related to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Both Streams (SG-03 and SG-04)

EE1. Experience developing and reviewing technical or scientific reports

EE2. Experience coordinating or participating in working groups or project teams

EE3. Experience preparing, developing or reviewing submissions or applications containing technical, scientific or regulatory information.

SG- 04 Stream 2:

EE4. Experience interpreting and providing advice on operating procedures, policies, guidelines or legislation.

EE5. Experience contributing to the development and implementation of policies, standards or guidelines within a scientific or regulatory environment*

EE6. Experience developing scientific or regulatory reports or briefings for management**.

*Scientific or regulatory environment including, but not limited to: laboratory, healthcare, research, pharmaceutical or regulatory industry
**Management means Supervisor and above.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

AE1. Experience responding to inquiries from clients or the public.

AE2. Experience carrying out regulatory processes, screens, review or analyzing documents or supporting information related to regulated substances, products or activities.

AE3. Experience working in a compliance or enforcement environment.
