FOR EACH EXPERIENCE CRITERION, please provide concrete examples including the following MANDATORY information:
1. Name of the department or organization where the experience was acquired;
2. Title of the position occupied and duration (including dates) for which you exercised the functions;
3. Specific details of tasks, projects, or accomplishments demonstrating how the experience was acquired.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established which may be used to staff similar positions within the Department of Justice Canada with various tenures, language requirements and/or conditions of employment, which may vary according to the position to be staffed.
The positions are currently located in Ottawa, Ontario, but consideration may be given to staffing positions in Montreal, Quebec.

EDUCATION
ED1 - Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Note: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
EX1 - Significant* experience in the production, analysis and interpretation of complex data sets and statistics from various data sources.
EX2 - Recent** and significant* experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions, such as macros and pivot tables.
EX3 - Recent** experience using advanced Microsoft Access functions.
EX4 - Experience in researching and organizing data and information in response to a variety of data and information requests, and preparing written summaries and recommendations.
* “Significant” experience will be assessed in terms of the depth and breadth of activities, the complexity and diversity of the work handled, as well as the level of autonomy demonstrated.
** “Recent” experience refers to experience acquired during the normal performance of such duties for at least one year in the last two (2) years worked.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
AEX1 - Experience with Visual Basic.
AEX2 - Experience designing queries and writing SQL.
AEX3 - Experience with PeopleSoft, including extracting or manipulating data from various fields and modules.
AEX4 - Experience in using business intelligence software (e.g. SAS, PowerBI, Tableau).
AEX5 - Experience with the Phoenix Pay system, including extracting or manipulating data from various fields and modules.
AEX6 - Experience in analyzing and validating data sets and reporting on results in support of Human Resources Management.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
OR1 - Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice.
