Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff one indeterminate position. A pool of qualified candidates may be created following this process, and may be used to staff similar equivalent or lower level positions for indeterminate appointments, term appointments, acting appointments, casual, deployments, assignments and secondments.

EDUCATION

A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Certification in a program relevant to the responsibilities of the position from a recognized technological program or institute.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Experience developing and modifying designs related to various construction and refurbishment initiatives.

Experience in Computer Assisted Drawing.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

EDUCATION

College Diploma in Industrial Drafting, furniture fabrication techniques or another specialization related to construction.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite Software.

Experience interpreting architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications and manufacturers data.

Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

Information on language requirements

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of design techniques related to construction and refurbishment.

Knowledge of the functional components of computer assisted drafting and design (AutoCAD) software.

ABILITIES

Ability to analyze and develop recommendations to resolve issues.

Ability to read and interpret floor plans and production or construction drawings.

Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Ability to communicate effectively orally.
