This selection process will initially be used to staff one vacant permanent position.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established to fill current and future vacancies, on a temporary or permanent, part-time or full-time basis.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

EDUCATION:
A Secondary School Diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
E1 Recent* and significant experience** in providing administrative support in an office environment.
E2. Experience in providing service to clients or the general public by telephone, in person, or in writing.
E3. Experience in using a computer and a variety of computerized programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic mail systems.
E4.Experience maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems.
*Recent is having the experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
**Significant experience is defined as experience associated with having directly performed the functions on a continuous bases, for a minimum of one (1) year.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
AE1. Experience providing administrative services in a legal or police services environment.
AE2. Experience working in a federal government office or providing federal government programs or services.
AE3. Experience in using SAP Financial System.
AE4. Experience providing administrative support in complex and lengthy investigations.
AE5. Experience in using police computer applications such as: PROS; PRIME; CPIC; Versadex; etc.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Reliability Status security clearance - ENHANCED RELIABILITY STATUS
NOTE: Successful candidates will require a valid Enhanced Reliability security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security/reliability interview and a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity which includes reference checks, verification of credit/financial status, education, employment, etc . As such, the process may take several weeks or months to complete.
