In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
-Bachelor of Law Degree from a recognized university

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
-Membership in good standing in the Bar of one of the provinces or territories of Canada or in the Order of Notaries in the Province of Québec

EXPERIENCE
-Significant* and recent** experience in the conduct of litigation as counsel appearing before administrative tribunals
-Significant* and recent** experience in the conduct of litigation as counsel appearing before the Federal Court(s)
-Recent** experience litigating human rights cases

* Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience typically associated with having performed a broad range of related activities over a period of at least five (5) years.
** Recent experience is defined as experience obtained within the last eight (8) years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience providing legal advice and litigating in both official languages
-Experience providing advice on and/or litigating pay equity cases
-Experience working as in-house counsel
-Experience providing legal advice and/or litigating Indigenous law cases
