Intent of the process

The intent is to create a pool of qualified candidates that will be used to staff similar positions at Transport Canada.

Information you must provide

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
ED: A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
OC1: Possession of a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence – Aeroplane Category, with a valid Group 1 instrument rating.

OC2: Possession of a valid Restricted Radio Telephone Operators certificate (endorsed Aeronautical).

EXPERIENCE
EX1: Minimum of 3000 hours flying experience

EX2: Minimum 1500 hours as pilot-in-command of multiengine airplanes

EX3: Minimum 300 hours instrument flight time (150 hours must be actual)

EX4: Experience as a training pilot or flight instructor

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Instructor experience in Level C or Level D flight simulators.

AEX2: Experience as an approved check pilot (ACP), a designated pilot examiner (PE) or Military equivalent whose duties include the evaluation of pilot competencies.

AEX3: Experience as a pilot in command of a C550 aircraft.

AEX4: Experience as a pilot in command of a C90 aircraft.
