The intent of this selection process is to staff one (1) indeterminate PC-04 position. A pool of qualified candidates will be established and could be used to fill similar positions within Environment and Climate Change Canada in the Quebec Region. The profile and language requirements, security level and the duration of the duties may vary depending on the position to be staffed.

EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry or other science related to the position.
Note:
Candidates must always have a degree. Specialization courses must be acceptable and have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required field of specialization.
EXPERIENCE :
E1. Significant experience* in managing human, financial resources and in supervising a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
E2. Experience in developing and implementing programs in one or more of the following areas in Quebec: environment, wildlife, natural resource management, conservation and biodiversity.
E3. Significant experience* in negotiating or establishing partnerships with governmental, non-governmental or Indigenous organizations, including consultations or information discussions on government policies, regulations or initiatives.
E4. Experience in managing projects.
E5. Experience in providing strategic advice, guidance and recommendations and/or direction to senior management and in representing the employer in external forums.
* Significant experience means experience obtained by the candidate and representative of the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained performing the duties for a period of approximately two years.

K1. Knowledge of the main challenges/issues related to wildlife conservation in Quebec.
