Under the supervision of the Project Team Leader and/or the Project Manager, you will provide technical support on construction and interior design projects by participating in the planning, design and implementation of the project.
Among other things, the project coordinator will have the following responsibilities:
• Contribute to project planning
• Participate in various plan reviews during the design phase
• Monitor project progress and quality of work during implementation, in accordance
with plans, specifications and schedule
• Manage and coordinate all deliveries and installations related to purchases
(furniture, signage, specialized equipment)
• Manage and coordinate the moving activities of clients
• Carry out the necessary follow-ups for the correction of deficiencies and the closure
of project files
• Communicate with project team, contractors, consultants and clients

This process will be used to staff one indeterminate position in Montreal. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (determinate, indeterminate), various linguistic requirements, various security requirements and for various locations at Public Services and Procurement Canada. Should the selected candidate already be a public servant, the pool could also be used for acting appointments.

Education:
Post-secondary diploma in a field related to architecture, construction and/or project management of real estate projects awarded by a recognized technical institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Experience:
1. Recent* and considerable** experience in coordinating construction projects and/or fit up project.
2. Working experience within multidisciplinary project teams.
3. Recent* and considerable** experience in reading plans and blueprints.
* Recent must be interpreted as follows: experience through a working position over the last five (5) years.
** Considerable must be interpreted as follows: acquired experience which will be assessed according to the duration, variety and complexity of performed tasks, candidate’s responsibility level, as well as the type of projects, the number and the level of stakeholders.
