Duties

The TD Summer Reading Club Program is looking for a multi-talented person to provide editorial and content support for our French language reading program!
You’ll be using your full tool kit in a position that is anything but routine and offers a lot of opportunity for growth and learning. You’ll be involved in the full yearly cycle of program development, from concept to completion. On any given day, you may be contributing ideas or designing programs and activities for children based on recent francophone publications, compiling book lists, recruiting juries for competitions, posting on social media, or uploading program materials to our website. In an environment that is bilingual, we’re looking for a quick and creative thinker to contribute to our program! Excellent planning, implementation, and organizational skills required!

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one temporary position until March 31, 2020 with the possibility of extension.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions within Library and Archives Canada using various languages requirements and/or various tenures (assignment, acting, term or indeterminately)according to the positions being staffed.

• Experience in using design programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop;
• Experience in coordinating an organization or group’s social media posts or websites.

Knowledge
• Knowledge of francophone Canadian children’s literature.
