Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff various positions.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established from this selection process and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures, various linguistic profiles as well as various security clearances within the Canada Border Services Agency.

Information you must provide

A covering letter in 1,500 words (maximum) "Demonstrate with examples how you meet each essential qualifications of education and experiences."

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group; OR

Degree equivalency

Occupational Certification
Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified General Accountant (CGA).

Experiences
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Financial Management Advisory;
• Financial Planning and budgeting;
• Financial Reporting (Internal or External) or Financial Audits;
• Accounting operations;
• Financial policy development and interpretation;
• Costing;
• Quality assurance, monitoring and internal controls;
• Financial Systems development and/or maintenance support;
• Revenue management

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Asset qualifications

Education
Designation from a professional accounting association (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA).

Degree equivalency

Experience
Experience managing or supervising employees for a minimum of one year.

Experience using SAP or Oracle

Experience in the preparation of financial analysis, advice and recommendations to support decision making.

Experience using Microsoft Excel Advanced functions.
