Work environment

ESDC’s Real Property and Asset Management team works in a fast-paced environment, delivering approximately $200M of Real Property services each year across the country. Our services support important programs and services that are essential to Canadians, such as Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan, Canada Pension Plan Disability, Old Age Security, and Passport services.

ESDC’s team is a dedicated professional group of real property and asset specialists which strongly believes in service excellence while ensuring sound stewardship of public funds through a process that enhances access and fairness.

Given the importance of programs and services ESDC manages and the real property and asset team supports, candidates for these positions will need to demonstrate they understand and can achieve a balance between service excellence and sound stewardship.

Intent of the process

The intent of this appointment process is to establish a fully or partially assessed pool of qualified candidates. The immediate use of the pool will be to staff 2 positions. In addition, the results of this process may be used to staff similar or identical positions for future vacancies of various tenures at Employment & Social Development Canada.

Education:
A secondary school diploma.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Recent experience * working on projects involving cross-disciplinary partners.
Recent experience * providing functional advice and guidance to internal and/or external clients.
Recent experience* compiling data and preparing reports.

Recent * is defined as experience within the past 3 years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Education:
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or Diploma of College Studies (DCS) with a specialization in the area of design, architecture, or interior design.
Certificate, or diploma, or degree in Project Management.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Recent and significant* experience with demonstrated results of work on several simultaneous and/or complex projects (multi clients, partners and stakeholders).
Recent and significant * experience completing layouts of office areas and furniture or equipment design plans.
Recent and significant * of experience using computer-aided drawing software AutoCAD.

Recent and significant * is defined as 12 months of experience within the past 5 years.
